OUR SCHOOL COUNCIL AND AMBASSADORS

SDC13876

WHY DO WE HAVE A SCHOOL COUNCIL?

It is a way for children to raise issues and concerns.

It is a structured forum for discussion and decision-making.

It creates a feeling of belonging, and encourages listening to others.

It helps children develop responsible attitudes.

SCHOOL COUNCIL/YEAR 4 ASPIRATION FLOWERS

Under the banner of Hastings THRIVES, all schools in Hastings promote the aspirations ad achievements of all pupils in our schools. Year 4 pupils were asked to create aspiration flowers and then the School Council handed them out to the local community as 'random acts of kindness'. "It felt so good to be kind to our neighbours." - School Council members.
