HARVEST

Thank you to all families and local church representatives that came to support our Harvest Festival. The service was amazing and your produce, which went to Farm Africa and the Seaview Project, St Leonards, was extremely generous!

Our Harvest Festival produce raised £211 for Farm Africa, who told us that our school and the church have now donated £3754.11 since 2001 when we first got involved. Thank you.

REMEMBRANCE

Children belonging to uniformed groups wore their uniforms to school today. Meriel led our Remembrance Assembly: “At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.”

ANTI-BULLYING WEEK

The theme this year was called 'Power for Good'. As a school we looked at how we could use kindness and positivity to support others.  how we could use our 'super powers' to try to link to the whole school theme this year.

In the photos the children are role playing different scenarios and thinking about how they could support and help each other.  The face masks were made to be Power for Good superheroes!  The PE photo was dance which was inspired by a Lowry painting 'the fight' about bystanders.  the class thought about what they would do to help.

PRAYER SPACE DAY

At the end of Term 4 we had our Understanding Christianity Prayer Space event. The children paired up across the school to take part in a range of activities linked to the timeline of the Bible.

The activities ranged from creative art work to writing prayers and hope blossoms and watching them open on water! Thanks to all the Ministers, Governors, parents and carers who supported our event.

EASTER SERVICE

We all walked across the fields to Guestling Church for a special Easter service. We were even accompanied by a donkey (or two)!

GLOBAL WEEK

Guestling went Global in May with each class basing their learning (especially Maths) around different countries and their healthy cuisine.

There was an exhibition of the children's work at the end of the week.

SUMMER FAIR

A massive thanks to all who prepared for, attended and supported at and packed away our PTA Summer Fair. It was extremely successful, raising around £2,500 to go towards replacing the swimming pool roof over the summer holidays.
